History of pempek palembang

No one knows where pempek from is exactly,because almost all regions of Sumatera selatan popularize it as it special food, but they say it has been in Palembang since 16th century.is known as public food.We can find it when it was offered in a restaurant nicely, peddled on pushcart, or carried around a slum certainly. There is a pempek seller in a school's, canteen, as well as, it's not only easy to make but it can be enjoyed in every situation as sweet.it consists of several variations and appearances. They are pempek kapal selam pempek lenjer, pempek adaan curly pempek, and pempek pistel.

1.Pempek pistel ( grated young papaya filling )
2.pempek kulit ikan ( fish skin )
3.Pempek tahu ( tofu filling )
4.Pempek keriting ( curly )
5.Pempek lenjer ( without filling )
6.Pempek telor or also know as kapal selam kecil ( egg filling )
7.Pempek adaan ( the fish cake dough is mixed with onions and coconut milk )

Title empek or pempek is believed coming from tittle apek.A little for an old man chinese generation. The folk tale which spread by mouth to mouth says that a 65 years old. Apek who live at the bank oh Musi River was apprehensive in wittnessing plentiful cap turing oh fish.
